Prakhar Gosh
Prakhar - born and brought up in Bombay, now Mumbai. Blessed with a mother who not only sang for hindi cinema but also taught Hindustani classical vocals. Prakhar took his first steps in music holding his moms hand, listening to her teach her students. Initially he was a Kishore fan for all the fun songs , but on 31st July 1980 , the day Rafi sahab passed away he heard Rafi Sahabs numbers on vividh Bharti for the next few days and turned into a Rafi bhakt. His 1st guru was his mom, his bigger guru was , is and always will be Rafi sahab. Prakhar kept singing and learning and his dedication boar fruit in college. He won the singing competition in college. From that point on there was no looking back. He participated in and won many inter collegiate competition throughout Maharashtra. He was invited to sing for lmost all the orchestra's in those days in Bombay - be it Kalakaar, Melody makers etc.... In 1996 he auditioned for saregamapa and was selected, the shooting was supposed to start in September. But his H1B work visa got approved in July and he sacrificed his passion and flew to USA. Life in USA was a torture without music so he started his own band in NJ and performed in 100s of shows in the tri state area from 1997 to 2005. After that he took a break from music to concentrate on career, family , kids etc. But in 2102 Nabin Das convinced him to make a comeback onto the stage and the lime light. Prakhar collaborated with Nabinda to form GREEN CHILLIES ENTERTAINMENT and since then GCE has produced more than 25 quality shows , all of them , sold out performances. From 2014 he has been enthralling his fans by weaving the magic with his voice. Prakhar has toured with many celebrities , few examples are Shaheed Rafi, Mohamad Rafi Sahabs son. Then Sumeet Kumar , Kishoreda's younger son. He is an established star in the USA circuit and has many tours lined up with Bollywood celebrities ...
